The Western States Conference was revived by the Northwest Blacksmith Association in 2011 after a break of almost 30 years. This year the California Blacksmith Association has taken up the torch and is hosting the conference, titled “Forging on the Faultline,” in Hollister, California, in tandem with their annual Spring Conference for 2015.

The conference will be held at Bolado Park, AKA the San Benito County fairgrounds, located on Highway 25 south of Hollister. Hwy 25 also leads to the recently-designated Pinnacles National Park. Nearby is Monterey Bay, which includes the beaches and surf breaks of Santa Cruz, the world-famous Monterey Bay Aquarium in Monterey, and is the gateway to the magnificent Big Sur coastline to the south. There is a lot to see and do in the area before and after the conference.
